· The July 2009 issue of Practical Sailor magazine revealed the results of an industry-wide product test in which 10 waxes were applied to a fiberglass hatch and left out in the Florida sun and rain for 6 months.
· The #885 was deemed “Best Choice” for initial gloss, ability to repel dirt, and ability to continuously bead water after 6 months.
· Collinite outlasted all of its competitors including 3M Marine Ultra Performance Paste, Turtle Wax Super Hard Shell Wax, Meguiars Flagship Premium Paste, Star brite Presoftened Boat Wax, Mothers California Gold Carnuba, Nu-Finish Soft Paste, and Kit Carnuba.
· This was Collinite’s fourth 1st place award from Practical Sailor/Powerboat Reports. The Collinite #870 took the same award for a similar 2007 test conducted for cleaner-waxes.

A couple of weeks - or was it months? - of daily driving had the Panzerfaust looking pretty ropey, but a quick wash down with this Premium Quality Car Wash by Shipshape Norfolk had it looking all spanky again. It removes dirt and grease but doesn't strip your Collinite wax off, it's well worth a whirl!

 Heavy Duty High Gloss
Here we review Collinite polish 476s super Double Coat Wax, 855 Insulator Wax and Shipshape Norfolk Car Wash designed for automotive use.
The first thing is to give the tractor a good wash, and a quality car wash product can be used here. Then a thin coat of polish should be added, to the clean dry surface with a soft slightly damp cloth. The result for a restored tractor is a very bright finish, a heavy duty, high gloss allmost indestructible protective coating.

COLLINITE 467s, 1st in category "Which Wax Gives Best Protection, For Longer, On Your Car?
This is it's debut in our annual polish and wax test, and we were amazed at it's effectiveness and stamina, even when compared to the usually dominant paint protectants.
On our test bonnet, it shifted water faster than any of i'ts rivals. Even a month later, the product was still beading so effectively that it was extremely difficult to get any fluid to stay on the Collinte section of the panel.
And in spite of the hefty price, it is good value, because hard pastes are generally used more sparingly than liquid polishes. A great new champion

Motor Boat Monthly Review

The beauty of owning a twenty-year-old boat (if there is one) is that I always have a ready place to test new cleaning products. The faded gelcoat of my Bayliner is looking a bit like patchwork quilt with each new cleaner getting it’s own six inches to either impress or fall flat on it’s face. Over the ;ast few years I have tested products specifically designed to bring the shine back to old and faded gelcoats, and until now, £M’s ‘Fibreglass cleaner and wax’ has been the one to beat.
For the last few months I had had a range of products from Collinite sitting on my desk, so obviously I chose the wettest and windiest day in January to try them out. First up was Collinite’s No. 920 Fibreglass Boat Cleaner. It says on the bottle that it removes dirt, film, oxidation, oil, grease, rust and exhaust stains and restores the gelcoat to it’s original colour. And from the results, it does a pretty good job too.
In fact, I was impressed enough to dig out the £M, and polish up another patch next to it as a comparison. The result was that there was little difference between the two, so No. 920 gets a big thumbs up for it’s performance.
Unlike the £M product, Collinite’s 920 doesn’t have a built in wax, but Collinite also produces a range of waxes that are said to be used in the tough extremes of the aeronautical industry, to they should be more than adequate in doing the task.
While I had the polishing cloth out, I gave the No. 855 Leather and Vinyl Wax a bash. No. 855 is a cleaner, polisher and preserver in one, and although it didn’t bring the grubby white vinyl back to ‘as new’, it did remove the worst of the grime with very little effort. Its preserving qualities alone are good enough reason to use the stuff, considering the salt and UV laden environments to which we continually expose our cockpit upholstery.

Shipshape gets a new look...

 Following the success and expansion of Shipshape's online shop, we decided it was time to give the whole website an overhaul for 2007.
The original site was developed in collaboration with Lingo Design so we asked them to come up with a completely new design which would allow for even more new products & look great.
We are pleased to say the new site is now live and full operational with our secure shopping cart facility.

Collinite Fleetwax Paste Shines Best in Boat-Wax Exposure Test

 Collinite products just keep on giving the best results, and winning the best reviews in product tests.
This time, the folks at Great Cove Boat Club tested 25 paste waxes over a period of three months, side by side, for gloss and beading, making note of discolouration and deterioration. The results were that collinite's wax both outperformed and outlasted all it's competitors!

The system has provided a high quality of site with easy to navigate product menus and features.
