tips
• Hose down the vessel with fresh water
from top to bottom, then hull to stern to rinse
off grit, salt and bird droppings.
• Use a lambs wool mitt so as not to
scratch surfaces, with a soft to medium bristle
brush on decks, not forgetting stainless railings
and stanchions.
• If you need to use soap choose biodegradable
products, wash and rinse a section at a time.
• Use 920 Fibreglass Boat Cleaner
over the entire boat, one area at a time using
a micro fibre cloth to remove black streaks
and old wax and another to remove cleaner.
• Your boat is now chemically clean and
ready for waxing.
925 Boat Wax is a thick liquid
or 885 Special Heavy Duty Paste Fleetwax
is a paste wax.
Apply the polish a section at a time with a
micro fibre cloth and polish off with a lambs
wool mitt or electric polisher. Do not polish
decks or walkways.
• 870 Special Heavy Duty Fleetwax
is a cleaner and polymer wax in one.
• 850 Metal Wax is essential
to keep your stainless clean and protected as
too is 855 Leather and Vinyl Treatment
for your upholstery.
• Clean windows and hatches, not forgetting
fenders. Apply some polish when they are clean,
it helps to keep them cleaner for longer.
• You can now stand back and admire your
boat and remember to rinse your boat as often
as you can to keep her looking as good as new.
